France is a country that truly finds appreciation in food.   It is there daily routine to sit down with family or friends three times a day for meals. Many types of food eaten in France differ by region ranging from dishes of Normandy to the, Mediterranean cuisine of Provence. An ordinary lunch or dinner consists always of some type of meat, whether beef, pork, or, poultry. Vegetables aren’t as important as meats when it comes to dinner, but they can still make or break a meal and they still pick the best quality vegetables at the market.    In Normandy, they commonly eat  Camembert, a type of cheese, served after the main course but before dessert. Well known bread they eat at meals are, Baguettes and croissants. One important holiday celebrated in France would be Bastille Day this national holiday held in France commemorates the French revolution and how it began, when they stormed Bastille on July 14 1789.The way it is celebrated, a large military parade is held in Paris on July 14th, during the parade the military aircraft fly above head. The French president opens the parade and thousands of people line up on the sidelines. Others just spend time with family and friends and make a celebratory meal. The picture below is called, Soupe à l'oignon which is a traditional soup that contains onions and beef with cheese on top. There meals often take time and made with care.
