The Poles, I chose this culture because on my dad's mother side of the family they are polish. When I was younger she used to speak Polish to me, but then she stopped speaking it to me and as I started to forget the language my grandmother did to. We still keep the Polish tradition alive in are family, through holidays, birthdays, or just on visits to my grandma's house. Yes, I would say that i do know a little bit about my countries food culture from my families background. Poland is known for its hearty food which keeps people warm and full during the long Polish winters. One of their signature food is pierogis, which are large dumplings filled with potatoes, cheese, and onions or fruit and meat. Many people believe that Polish food is all meats and potatoes as this is mostly true they make up for it in their desserts, which are very popular and can be found all over the country. one strange fact that sets us apart is dinner and supper. In Poland, traditionally you would eat dinner in the afternoon, around 1 or 2 p.pm.. Which is the biggest meal. then around 7 or 8 p.m.. you would eat "supper" consisting of a small sandwich or salad. In Tradition Polish clothing it is very colorful and decorative. Women would wear long colorful skirts with printed on them ribbon and flowers. They may wear a white blouse and red colorful vest with flowers in her hair. There is many castles and old towns preserved from the cities of Warsaw and Krakow. Though I may have forgotten how to speak Polish the food and traditions are still strong.
