1) Theme: Mama Elena has control in the family.

     Atmosphere: Mama Elena Created a tense and demanding atmosphere by demanding Tita to take        care of till the day she dies.

     Culture of the Family: Cultures and traditions have not changed over the years. They are                      Structured and controlled house hold.

2) Pedro and Tita are rebelling to become independent. Also showing Mama Elena would not allow       Tita to be independent.

    Pedro was rebelling against his wife and traditions. Tita was giving in to the situation and was glad     about Pedro rebelling.
