Aloha Hawaii

Hawaii is a beautiful place, full of many traditions and festivals. I am interested in this culture because I believe that the traditions they celebrate are interesting to learn about and watch. They are interesting because of how powerful they are to the spirits of their ancestors. I am hoping to go deeper in the history behind the food culture and food festivals they have and celebrate. Hawaii is part of the 50 states and built up from under sea volcanoes. It is located in the Pacific Ocean, and also has a hand full of volcanoes and some dens forests. There are also palm trees and also lots of fruit grows there such as pineapple. There are also lots of exotic wild animals and pigs that live in the forests, and this may have shaped the food culture in Hawaii with all the great pig and pineapple treats. Some history of the Hawaiian Islands is that in 1778 Captain James Cooks first set foot on the islands and met the people. Hawaii became one of the fifty states on August 21, 1959 and has brought a ton of tourism to the islands.

  1. Hi there, I read your post about the Hawaiian culture, and it all sounds so good. I’ve never been to Hawaii, but I think that would be so nice in the weather having their delicious food. I have always loved many of the different types of fruit and I think it be so good tasting all kinds of their exotic fruits. I really enjoy pineapple, ham and pork, so I bet I would really enjoy the meat soaked in their popular pineapple. I would love to find out much more about the culture and delicious food choices they have in Hawaii.
