There is Such Thing as a Good Grabber
Food in the south is by far one of the tastiest and best foods in the world. With grease and more grease, foods in the south by nature tend to not be the healthiest foods. The food has an image that the south proudly wears, very fattening. Foods in the south are loaded with feel good ingredients that make your heart cringe when you eat it. The people of the south tend to get an image of being pigs. Foods in the south tend to be messy, which naturally, is eaten by larger people. Even though this food is very messy and sloppy it does have its benefits. People in the south tend to be happier after eating. Now, many people will say it’s a short term gain, long term loss, but then again we only have one chance at life, make the best of it. I think the food and the people of the south give it the image it has. There are about a million redneck jokes and almost half apply to eating poorly and drinking beer. To us, from the north, that is not appealing, but that is all they know. I truly believe the south contributes a ton to the way America is viewed. People see happiness, culture and a bond all people from the south share. If you don’t get a little heartburn after eating a good meal from the south, it was not cooked right.

  1. I really enjoyed reading your paper from top to bottom. The way you connected the south to the way America is precieved was truly remarkable. Also the picture at the end was a great touch. There are only a few things that I would've changed myself. You talked about how fatty southern food is, but you never gave any examples, or recipes. With that being said, I still enjoyed it very much.

  2. I really liked how even though you give the perspective from a northerner, you don't discredit the southerner's way of life. You do in fact embrace it and use it to make your argument stronger. I really enjoyed reading this blog I hope that the food you make is as good as you make it out to be.
