Compare Tita's relationship with John to her relationship with Pedro. Which is more authentic. Which is her true love.
Tita's relationship with John seems much more practical than her relationship with Pedro. Tita and John have substance and good conversation/experiences and their love seems real. From what we've seen with Pedro, their relationship stems from lust and a real relationship can't work in their circumstances (Pedro being married to Rosaura and Mama Elena disapproving).
We think that John is Tita's true love, but we also see conflict arising because why does she keep going back to Pedro? Why does Tita think of Pedro so often? We also came to the conclusion that Pedro raped Tita.
